ZenDecks: Next-Gen Flashcards

Created an open-source flashcard app supporting Markdown and LaTeX using React, TypeScript, SCSS, Framer Motion, and Firebase. Integrated Firebase for reliable user authentication and a scalable database, enabling seamless CRUD functionality. Managed client-side state and user progress with Redux, optimizing Firebase API usage through batch write operations.

Created the official website for the University of Houston’s Japanese Club (JLCC) using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Created a responsive and versatile website layout using CSS Media Queries and Flexbox. Utilized the JavaScript Fetch API to retrieve club event information from an external database.

Translator Discord Bot

Translator Discord Bot

Developed a Discord bot for translating messages between English and Japanese using Python. In use on over 75 Discord servers. Integrated with Discord using the Discord.py library and utilized the DeepL API for translation. Deployed the bot with Flask on a Google Cloud Platform Compute Engine VM for continuous availability and functionality.

👋 Hey, thanks for stopping by! I'm a Software Engineer with interests in front-end and full-stack development. In my spare time, I enjoy gaming, language learning, and programming: contributing to open source projects and personal side projects every chance I get.

I've recently been working on a discord bot for the SACNAS UH student organization, to automate Discord event announcements from the org's events Google Sheet. I've also been tutoring Computer Science students and aspiring Software Engineers in CS fundamentals and Full-Stack development.
