Developed a responsive web application for the SACNAS UH student organization using React, JavaScript, and CSS. Implemented a serverless database leveraging the Google Sheets API, enabling administration to update content without coding. Designed site mockups in Figma, incorporating feedback from organization leadership to guide project direction.
Created an open-source flashcard app supporting Markdown and LaTeX using React, TypeScript, SCSS, Framer Motion, and Firebase. Integrated Firebase for reliable user authentication and a scalable database, enabling seamless CRUD functionality. Managed client-side state and user progress with Redux, optimizing Firebase API usage through batch write operations.
Created the official website for the University of Houston’s Japanese Club (JLCC) using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Created a responsive and versatile website layout using CSS Media Queries and Flexbox. Utilized the JavaScript Fetch API to retrieve club event information from an external database.
Developed a Discord bot for translating messages between English and Japanese on the UH Japanese Club Discord server using Python. Integrated with Discord using the Discord.py library and utilized the DeepL API for translation. Deployed the bot with Flask on a DigitalOcean droplet (Linux VPS) for continuous availability and functionality.
